Why cleaning up encampments in tandem with housing is right thing to do
The recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in Grants Pass v. Johnson has provided cities in California with a new legal framework to address homelessness, granting local governments greater autonomy in managing encampments. I don’t agree with many of the majority decisions that this current makeup of the court has made, but this is one of them.
