When Emmanuel Macron ran for President of France in 2017, he ran on a term that I for one had never heard before. He called himself a “radical centrist”- I’m not sure if he coined the term, but it basically meant that in an era where, much like here in the United States, two main parties had come to dominate the political conversation in the country, he wanted to break through the partisan gridlock and deliver real solutions and results for the French people.
